We are so proud and privileged to partner with the Happy Church located in Jackson, Kentucky. This is a church located in the poorest section of America doing incredible good with very little resources. Throughout the year they have specific needs and requests that we have the opportunity to assist in meeting. Below are several ways that you can help contribute. Receipts for cash donations will be sent out at the end of the year. Receipts for non-cash donations will be sent out upon request.

thrift store

The Happy Church runs a small thrift store two days a month (generally the 1st and 3rd of each month) from donated items. Items are sold at very low prices to help people get items they need without feeling like they are getting a handout.During those two days any clothing or other items that didn’t make it into the thrift store are sold in the Happy Church gym.A 13 gallon kitchen trash bag can be filled to capacity for only $5 ūüôā

Food , clothes, personal hygiene items, blankets, coats, shoes, boots, school supplies are the greatest need. No junk and no books please.

Boxes or bags are fine. Drop at Centerville Grace anytime. Small quantities behind Grace Central. Large quantities: Check with  Pastor Ned and we will unload directly into garage.

Please separate food from any other donations.

¬†In 2008 Jeanne, a native of eastern Kentucky, was told the story of a little girl who wanted to attend church, but didn’t have any shoes, the pastor’s wife bought her a pair of flip- flops from the dollar store. From this story Jeanne & her husband David, started this ministry of the heart known as Project Happy Soles, each needy child was to choose a pair of new shoes for school.

Project Happy Soles started as a shoe project, but with God’s blessings has become much more. We are now able to provide help with school supplies, book bags, hoodies & winter coats, food baskets at thanksgiving, Christmas, & Easter, and more. Project Happy Soles helps with a thrift store, where children can learn bible verses and earn “Happy Cash” to use to purchase items like clothing and personal hygiene products. In 2012 a college scholarship was started.

If you would like to contribute to Project Happy Soles, your gift is tax deductible, and would be greatly appreciated, donations should be sent to:

Happy Church -24 Happy Lane – Jackson, Ky. 41339. Please specify that it is for “Project Happy Soles”.
